Today's high in Knoxville got up to 91 degrees.
In 2010, we have had
44 days at 90 degrees or higher.
More showers and thunderstorms are expected tonight.
A cold front will be dropping in from the North and West over the next 24 hours. With enough moisture in place, don't be surprised if a few showers or thunderstorms fire up again on Thursday afternoon.
The chance of rain on Thursday is running about 40 percent. I am expecting no rain on Friday.
Take note...high temperatures will be gradually increasing over the next 3 to 5 days, where mid-90s will become commonplace once again.
So far in Knoxville, the rain deficit stands at - 6.68 inches for the year.
Expected Highs on Thursday
La Follette 89 degrees
Maynardville 90 degrees
Blaine 90 degrees
Morristown 91 degrees
Knoxville 92 degrees
